Why did the foreman bring a ladder to the bar? Find the answer in the end of this newsletter
👋 Hey there, scaffold heroes — we’ve got news.
We’re wrapping up another wild sprint, and Scaffcalc is now being used by new customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and Germany. That’s a big deal for us.
We’re building for scaffolders who need speed, precision, and control, and it’s clear those needs are the same no matter the country.
Thanks for the momentum. Here’s what’s new 👇

Scaffolding Features
📦 Box Selection + Smart Standard Rebuild
Select any box and hit the new regenerate icon — Scaffcalc will now automatically rebuild the standards to match the ground below.
It’s like a reset button for weird terrain.
🧩 Component by Component — It’s Here
After months of deep work, our most detailed building mode is live. You can now:
- Stack standards on top of other standards
- Add beam spigots, console spigots, and couplers
- Place ledgers, guardrails, braces, and Burton pipes between exact locks
- Move scaffolds and keep all parts logically attached
- Manually add components while keeping scaffold logic intact
This is the scaffolder’s toolkit — unbundled and fully in your control.
💡 Heads up: snapping a bay to another may regenerate frames/standards — we’re on it.
🇳🇱 Now in Dutch!
We’ve added full support for Dutch translations — Scaffcalc is ready for the Netherlands and Belgium.
Smaller fixes that makes life easier
✅ QR codes visible in material list — as long as you set project to “Public”
✅ Stairs, couplers, spigots — properly updating and stable
✅ Weight totals are rounded — cleaner visualisation in exported material list
✅ Depth measurements — now visible and color-coded
✅ Translations — polished language support
✅ Multiple blueprints — now load properly
✅ Expandable side menus — now actually expand when you click them
✅ App stability — fixed crashes from missing supplier functions
🔁 What everyone loved last time
📈 Insanely Fast. Ridiculously Big.
You can now model massive projects — think Empire State Building — with higher performance and precision than ever before.
⚡ Load 100x100x100 meter scaffolding structures in seconds
🧱 Enhanced scaffolding detail
📐 Instantly get material lists for huge projects
🧠 Auto-Correction: Smarter Every Step
No more adjusting every bay. The scaffold auto-aligns in height based on the first one.
Set it from the beginning — retrochanges won’t apply.
💬 Add comments on any object — streamline collaboration

🎨 Artwork of the Week
Here’s a few scaffoldings with that summer vibe to it. Images of real scaffoldings are captured around Europe during our customer visits, and converted to oil paintings using AI.
❤️ Thank you.
We’re building Scaffcalc with and for you, our brilliant scaffolders and project leads.
Let us know what you think, and keep pushing the limits of what’s possible.
