In Scaffcalc, you can generate drawings for your project, making it easy for the assembly team to do everything correctly. You can create your own drawings and include any information you need. Here, we’ll walk you through how the drawing feature works.
- Select “Create Drawing” from the project page and then click the button. All the settings for creating your drawings are available on the right-hand side.
- You can choose to create a single page or multiple pages. Include the QR code if you’ve made the project public, and add the material list if you wish. You can minimize the right-hand column to center your project when capturing different angles. It’s important to place the project in the middle of the drawing board, otherwise, the image will appear at one side on your document.
- Choose which dimensions you want to display. By selecting “Box mode”, you’ll see the colors of your bays, showing that they have different lengths. If you also want to display the exact frame hight, simply click on the bays and then click on the icon on the right “Show bay dimensions”. Note: To return to drawing mode, press the ESC key.
4. Choose how many pages you want in your document.
You can select a single page or multiple pages. By choosing multiple pages and then clicking the button, more pages will appear in the list. From there, you can capture new images from different positions, add comments to the images, and even place multiple images on the same page.
- Add measurements to your drawing and notes to make it even more clear! You can use the measuring tool to place lines you want visible on the drawing. You can also choose the color of the line. You can use the comment- tool to add notes to your drawing as well.
Note: To return to drawing mode, press the ESC key.
You can always preview your document and make any adjustments you need. Here, for example, we added a few comments that are visible on the last page.
- Add the material list at the end of the document if you want.
- Download your drawing in A4 or A3 format.
- You can find all your documents under your projects, in the folder and project you choose. Here you’ll see all the drawings you’ve created for the project and can delete the ones you don’t need.
Some extra tips 💡 In the hamburger menu on the left-hand side, you’ll find features such as “Hide Helpers”, “Hide Measurements”, and much more. Try them out to customize your drawing just the way you want it.
Just like when you create your projects, you can hide items in the left panel where all objects are listed.
For example, if you want to hide certain comments, simply select them here and choose to hide them.
