Scaffcalc's service for specialized calculations performed by our skilled structural engineers.
Covers both tender calculations as a basis for quotes and complete calculations of the scaffold's load-bearing capacity, with a full calculation report.
Three simple steps
Follow the steps below to submit documentation, receive a price, and get complete calculation documentation.
1. Submit a request
The feature for submitting a request via the app will be available in a future update. In the meantime, send your calculation request to calc@scaffcalc.com.
Your request should include a full project brief for the desired scaffold configuration and the conditions Scaffcalc needs to base the calculation on.
For projects where assistance is needed to put together the brief, including scaffold design, you can book a meeting and get help from Scaffcalc.
2. Scaffcalc responds and provides a price estimate
Scaffcalc receives your request and will follow up with questions if needed to ensure the information is sufficient. You will then receive a clear price estimate. Once you have approved the price, Scaffcalc will begin the calculation.
3. Delivery of calculation documentation
Once the calculation is complete, Scaffcalc compiles the results into a calculation report and sends it to you by email.
What is a full project brief?
The full project brief is the information Scaffcalc needs to carry out the calculation, covering the scaffold's design and the relevant load conditions. A complete brief allows Scaffcalc to start work without delays caused by follow-up questions or missing data.
A full project brief primarily consists of a clearly drawn project in Scaffcalc, preferably using the comment feature to clarify details of the scaffold design. Other drawings and documents (PDF or IFC) can be submitted as supplementary documentation. Photos are not accepted as supporting material.
The following points should be included in the brief:
Lead times
After a full project brief has been submitted to Scaffcalc, the expected lead time is two weeks. Lead times may vary depending on Scaffcalc's current workload and the complexity of the project.
Pricing
Full calculation
The base price for a calculation is a fixed cost of 850 blocks or SEK 25,000. The price includes a full calculation report for a uniform scaffold, where the design is the same throughout the project. The base price does not cover variations in the scaffold that require multiple calculation cases or special structures, such as varying anchor levels or bridging.
If the project exceeds what is included in the base price, work is charged per hour. The hourly rate is SEK 1,795. Scaffcalc always provides a price estimate for each request, which is confirmed before work begins.
Tender calculation
A tender calculation is a simplified assessment of the scaffold's structural feasibility and approximate material quantities, intended as a basis for quoting.
The base price for a tender calculation is 300 blocks, covering the same scope as defined for full calculations. For more complex projects that exceed this scope, work is charged at the same hourly rate of SEK 1,795. Scaffcalc always provides a price estimate before work begins.
Note: If the project moves forward to a full calculation, part of the tender calculation fee will be deducted from the full calculation price.
Consultation with a structural engineer
If you want to ensure the documentation is complete from the start, or if the project is complex and you want to discuss design, load conditions, and possible alternatives, you can book a meeting with one of Scaffcalc's structural engineers. During the meeting, you will go through the conditions, clarify any uncertainties, and reduce the risk of additional requests that could affect price and lead time. For booked meetings with a structural engineer at Scaffcalc, a fee of 100 blocks per 30 minutes is charged.
Payment is also available in SEK or EUR.
