How to log in
The first step is that we create your user. Send your details to support@scaffcalc.com and we will add you. We need your name, email address and company. When we add you as a user, you will automatically receive an email with information where you must verify your email address. Scaffcalc 3: You can then log in here. ➡️ Scaffcalc 4: You can then log in here. ➡️ 💡 For the best experience, we recommend using the Chrome browser.
Settings
To make things easier for you, we have some settings we recommend you start with.
Start your first project
When you log in to Scaffcalc, you will start on your front page where you will see your latest calculations.
The first thing you should do is set up your settings. You can find your personal settings and the scaffold settings in the top right corner.
Suppliers and components
In the top right corner of Scaffcalc there are scaffolding settings. Click on that icon and choose which supplier you use and which supplier should be preselected when you create your projects.
The next step is to select the components you use. Fill in the compartment widths and lengths you want to be available. You can also choose which ones should be preselected. The same applies to defining the length of standards or specifying which starting component you prefer to use.
Standards Lenghts
Select the lengths of standards you want to use in your projects by choosing them under Scaffold Settings in the top right corner.
Bay Length Color
To make assembly easier, each length of your bays is given a different color based on its size. You can choose to use the default settings or change to the colors you prefer.
You can also choose to change the colors for a specific project. This is done within the project, on the right-hand side under the “Share Properties” function.
Branding
If you have chosen the branding package in your license, it is possible to choose both the color of the toe board, the text and also enter any name to be visible on these. It is nice when you want to show the customer what the project will look like. You put it in under the scaffolding settings in the upper right corner.
You can also have your logo on the documents. Send it as .jpg or .png to us at support@scaffcalc.com and we will add it.
Project-specific branding options
You can also choose to change the branding for a specific project. This is done within the project, on the right-hand side under the “Share Properties” function.
If you don’t select a specific branding for the project, the default branding settings will be shown to the person you share the project with.
Language and background settings
In the top right corner you will find the app settings. Here you can choose which language you prefer in Scaffcalc and whether you want a light or dark background, based on your preferences.
Feedback
We want to hear your feedback, so every time you complete a project, a feedback box will appear. Here you can rate how the project went and also comment if there is something you think we have done extra well, that you want us to develop further or missing in Scaffcalc. Ideas that would make your work easier are also appreciated. We read everything and prioritize accordingly.
Start creating your first projekt
For your calculations to be correct, some information is required. Below you can learn what we mean by the different parameters and why they are important.
New scaffold
When you click on new scaffolding, you will be taken to the Scaffcalc 3D tool. This is where you create your projects. On the right side, you fill in project information and can choose whether the project should be public or private. If you don't already have a project folder, you can create one directly here too.
Public project
If you choose to make your project public, you have the possibility to share the project with others. Use the link and you will get a 3D view and general information about the project. Those you share the project with cannot edit the project and only get general information.
Wind standard (Available soon)
When designing and calculating scaffolding, it is important to follow these standards to ensure the safety and functionality of the structure.
EN (European Standard) is used for construction work in Europe (does not apply to Sweden).
SSEN (Svensk Standard Europastandard) is the Swedish adaptation of the European standard. This means that the standard has been adapted to include specific Swedish conditions and regulations. In practice, this means that when you use SSEN standards, you follow the European directives but with additions and modifications that are relevant to Swedish conditions. Used for construction work within Sweden.
Reference Wind Speed (Available soon)
The reference wind speed is a fundamental part of the calculation and important for the accuracy of the calculation. This speed is used as a basis to calculate the real wind loads by adjusting for factors such as terrain type, building height and shape, and local climate conditions.
The reference wind speed is automatically updated when you select an address within Sweden. If you want to change it manually or if it does not update automatically, this is where you set the value.
Terrain Type (Available soon)
Wind interacts differently with the ground depending on the nature of the terrain. Open fields, cities or forests create different levels of wind interruption and turbulence that affect how the wind load is applied to a structure. Choosing the right terrain type is necessary to correctly estimate the wind speed and pressure that a scaffold will be exposed to.
Choose the terrain type for your project. You can find information on the different terrain types below and by clicking on the question mark behind the terrain type in Scaffcalc.
Terrain Type 0
Sea or coastal area - exposed to open sea.
Terrain Type 1
Lake or horizontally level area with negligible vegetation without obstacles.
Terrain Type 2
Area with low vegetation such as weeds and single obstacles (trees, buildings) with a minimum spacing of 20 times the height of the obstacles.
Terrain Type 3
Area covered by vegetation or buildings or single obstacles with a maximum spacing equal to 20 times the height of the obstacles (e.g. villages, suburbs, forest).
Terrain Type 4
Area with at least 15 % built-up area and where the average height of buildings is greater than 15 m.
Date of construction and dismantling
Depending on the time of assembly and disassembly of the scaffolding, different weather conditions may affect the stability and safety of the scaffolding. The calculation is affected, among other things, by the snow loads that must be taken into account. Set dates for when your project should be assembled and dismantled.
Help and support
At the top right, you can find information on how to get in touch with support and find guides. You can always email support@scaffcalc.com if you have any questions.
